Safe and Supported reporting
There is a strong focus on monitoring and reporting on the progress of Safe and Supported.
Outcomes Framework
There are 2 Outcomes Frameworks that list the desired Safe and Supported outcomes:
- Read the Safe and Supported: Outcomes Framework
- Read the Safe and Supported: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Outcomes Framework
A Theory of Change accompanies each Outcomes Framework. These explain how change will occur to achieve outcomes. The full Theories of Change are at Appendix B of each action plan. There are also 2 summaries:
- Read the Safe and Supported: Theory of Change
- Read the Safe and Supported: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Theory of Change
The Outcomes Frameworks and Theories of Change were developed with:
- SNAICC: a National Voice for our Children(Opens in a new tab/window)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Group
- National Coalition on Child Safety and Wellbeing(Opens in a new tab/window).
They align with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principle(Opens in a new tab/window) and the National Agreement on Closing the Gap(Opens in a new tab/window).
Monitoring and evaluation strategy
The Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy is in development. It will explain how Safe and Supported will be evaluated. This includes how progress will be tracked and reported against the desired outcomes.
