About financial declarations

A financial declaration is a certification from your organisation stating that the grant was spent for the purpose provided as outlined in the grant agreement.

How to access the declaration

You complete the financial declaration using an online form. For more information, read the task card on how to complete the online form.

If you are registered with the Grant Recipient Portal (GRP), you can access the online form up to 60 days prior to the due date.

If you are not registered with the GRP, you will be sent a link to access the online form via email 30 days prior to the due date.

Early submission and access to the online acquittal form is possible. If you would like to have earlier access for online form submission, contact DSSacquittals@communitygrants.gov.au.

How to complete the declaration

To complete the financial declaration online form you will need to confirm details about:

  • your organisation
  • base funding received
  • value of previously rolled over funds (if applicable).

You will also need to provide the following information:

  • value of base funds spent on the approved activity
  • balance of any unexpended funds (if applicable)
  • reason for unexpended funds (if applicable).

Who should sign/submit the declaration

The financial declaration must be signed/submitted on behalf of your organisation by the organisation's board, the chief executive officer, or an officer with authority to do so.

You can submit the manual template via email to DSSacquittals@communitygrants.gov.au.
