Video of online seminar: Accessible communication with people with disability
The Department of Social Services partnered with communication and engagement specialists, The Social Deck, to host a free online seminar series about effective communication and engagement with people with disability on 24 June 2021. The online seminar runs for 1 hour and 13 minutes. The seminar addresses the need for governments and the private sector to provide information and communication in formats that do not discriminate against people based on their disability. Expert guest speakers include:
- Jody Barney, Aboriginal Disability Training Consultant at Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy
- Jane Britt, National Policy Officer at Blind Citizens Australia
- Aine Healy, CEO of The Attitude Foundation and Founder of Ideas Info Action
