2 July 2024 meeting of the Blueprint Expert Reference Group - communique

The Blueprint Expert Reference Group (BERG) participated in an all-day workshop in Canberra on Tuesday 2 July 2024 to further refine the draft Not-for-Profit Sector Development Blueprint (NFP Blueprint).

Members considered various governance and implementation models, and deliberated on the principles that will underpin the governance of the NFP Blueprint.

An update was provided to BERG on targeted consultations undertaken by ACOSS and Synergistiq. The emerging findings indicated that the vision and actions broadly reflected the views and needs of the wider sector, including those of smaller and wholly volunteer-run organisations.

We and the BERG are continuing conversations with subject matter experts including the Engagement Allies and to finalise details to ensure the recommendations are viable and will provide a clear and convincing plan for government and not-for-profit sector reform in the short term and over the next ten years.

Email BERGSecretariat@dss.gov.au to contact the Blueprint Expert Reference Group Secretariat for more information on the Blueprint.

The next Blueprint Expert Reference Group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 6 August 2024.
