Gambling research
Research purpose
Research was used to create the National Consumer Protection Framework for Online Wagering. It helps to protect people who gamble online. The National Framework includes 10 measures which were trialled and tested prior to implementation.
Research partners
We partnered with 2 organisations to inform the implementation of the National Framework measures.
Gambling Research Australia(Opens in a new tab/window) worked in partnership with the Australian, state and territory governments to initiate and manage a national gambling research program.
The Australian Gambling Research Centre(Opens in a new tab/window) is part of the Australian Institute of Family Studies(Opens in a new tab/window). This partnership provided resources for policymakers, researchers and professionals in gambling.
