Money Support Hubs
Money Support Hubs provide integrated Commonwealth Financial Counselling Services and Financial Capability services, access to Microfinance products, and in some instances emergency relief services in Income Management and enhanced Income Management locations either through a permanent presence or outreach. Services are provided to people from all communities that lie within each organisation’s coverage areas, including small outstations or communities.
Eligibility
These services are available to people who are not able to pay a bill or at imminent risk of not being able to pay a bill and for:
- those in receipt of a Commonwealth social security benefit, allowance or payment;
- newly arrived migrants/non-citizens (priority to be given to newly arrived refugees); and
- women experiencing family violence for the purpose of assisting these women to become financially independent.
