Applications are now open for the Social Enterprise Development Initiative (SEDI) Grants Administrator.

SEDI will grow the social impact market, by building the capability of eligible for-purpose organisations to be more sustainable and have improved social impact. This will lead to better measurable outcomes for disadvantaged Australians.

The government announced SEDI as part of the Entrenched Disadvantage Package in the 2023–24 Budget.

As part of the program, the department is appointing a Grants Administrator. The SEDI Grants Administrator will promote, select and provide capability-building grants of up to $120,000 to eligible social enterprise organisations.

The Grants Administrator will be in place by early 2024. The first of the capability building grants will be available to social enterprises after June 2024.

Applications close 6 December 2023.
