About this resource

The NDIS Evaluation Initial Report provides findings from initial qualitative fieldwork with NDIS participants, their families and carers, disability service providers, and representatives from peak disability organisations. This fieldwork was undertaken as part of the first stage of the NDIS Evaluation. The purpose of the report is to present initial findings to be used as the benchmark for the Evaluation in measuring change in outcomes for NDIS participants, their families and carers over time.

Caution should be taken in drawing conclusions from this preliminary stage of the Evaluation. Further data collection undertaken as part of the Evaluation will better inform the impact on outcomes the NDIS is having on participants, and will be reported on in the Intermediate and Consolidated Reports.
