Income Management program

The Income Management program is a tool that helps people budget their income support payments.

Participation in the Income Management program

The Income Management program has been closed for new participants since 4 September 2023.  

Existing participants can continue on the Income Management program or can choose to move to the enhanced Income Management program.  

Income Management program participants are issued with a BasicsCard.

Locations

The Income Management program operates in certain locations across Australia. If participants moved away from one of these locations, they can stay on the program.

  • Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yakunytatjara (APY Lands)

  • Ngaanyatjarra (NG Lands) 
  • Kiwirrkurra Community 
  • Kimberley Region 
  • Perth Metropolitan 
  • Peel District 
  • Victoria 
  • Greater Shepparton
