ICB 2020-21 grant round

On 1 September 2020, the Australian Government announced the outcome of the ICB 2020-21 grants round, which opened on 11 March and closed on 6 May 2020. In this round, the Government invested $64.9 million in grants to 138 organisations to build the capacity of Australians with disability to participate in and contribute to the community. 

Organisations across the disability sector who deliver life-changing projects for people with disability, their families and carers received grants of up to $500,000 per year for 2 years. Funded projects included: 

  • leadership courses to bridge skills gaps for people with disability 
  • workshops to build confidence to speak up in the community 
  • online hubs for signing up to social activities and groups.

A number of these grants are included in the ILC Funded Activities Deemed Suitable for an Extension of Time and Additional Funding.
