Disability Reform Ministerial Council Meeting on 3 November 2023

Commonwealth, State and Territory Disability Ministers met on 3 November 2023 in Melbourne.

Guests included Co-Chairs of the NDIS Review Panel, Ms Lisa Paul AO PSM and Professor Bruce Bonyhady AM. The Review Co-Chairs presented the independent Report to Disability Ministers and discussed the Review’s recommendations.

Ministers also discussed the Report of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability noting that addressing the issues requires a national effort, including all governments and all parts of our community.

At the meeting Ministers also endorsed:

  • the first Implementation Report of Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031
  • membership of the new National Disability Data Asset Council
  • the Supported Employment Plan
