Paid Parental Leave Review

The Government completed a review of the Paid Parental Leave scheme, as required under the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010.

The review, which began in January 2013, drew on public submissions, consultation meetings, administrative data, findings from the independent Paid Parental Leave evaluation, and other evidence.  The public consultation phase, including the submissions process, ended in June 2013. Consultation meetings were held with around 30 key stakeholders and 65 public submissions were received. The Department of Social Services has analysed the evidence and the findings are contained in the final report.
