Early intervention services provide good outcomes and longer term benefits for individuals, their families and the community. The Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism package (HCWA) and the Better Start for Children with Disability Initiative (Better Start) include access to up to $12,000 (with a maximum of $6,000 per financial year) for early intervention therapies for each eligible child. This report presents preliminary research into options available to further support the delivery of such programs through alternate provider payment options.
