Respect competition closes 15 September

We want students across Australia in years 4–9 to show us what respect looks like to them. Students can enter themselves or with classmates in one of the competition categories:

1. Students in years 4–6 (primary school)
2. Students in years 7–9 (high school)

Stuck on a topic for the story? Here are a few suggestions to help get started:

• R.E.S.P.E.C.T this is what it means to me
• How to show respect
• Finish the scene: 
  • You’re watching reels online when ‘ping’ you get a message…
  • As you’re walking through the playground you notice something strange…

Use the 8 boxes provided in the storyboard template to create the idea—don’t forget to include the word ‘respect’.

The winner will have their storyboard turned into a 30 second animation by a professional animator and will receive a $500 gift card for them and one for their school. Runners up will receive a $250 gift card.

The competition is part of the Stop it at the Start campaign, encouraging respect to help end violence against women.

Entries close on Sunday 15 September 2024 at 11.59pm (AEST).
