The National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032 (National Plan) is now available.

The Australian Government, together with state and territory governments, released the National Plan on 17 October 2022.

The vision set out in the 10-year National Plan is to end gender-based violence in one generation.

It highlights how all areas of society need to work together to address violence against women and children in Australia.

The National Plan provides a holistic response to gender-based violence and highlights the actions needed across the continuum from prevention, early intervention, response, through to recovery and healing.

The National Plan is a plan for everyone in Australia, and has been developed collaboratively over more than 2 years in consultation with victim survivors, advocates, advisory groups, business and industry, family, domestic and sexual violence organisations, and the general public. More than 3,000 individuals were engaged through various consultation methods to inform the National Plan’s development.
