Disability Reform Ministers’ Meeting on 9 September 2022

Commonwealth, State and Territory Disability Ministers met on 9 September 2022 at Parliament House in Canberra.
Guests at the meeting included the newly appointed Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Ms Libby Coker MP and the head of the NDIS Review Secretariat, Mr James Kelly. Key issues discussed included: the outcomes of the Jobs and Skills Summit; the NDIS Review; actions to improve access to Assistive Technology; and Home and Living support for NDIS participants.
Ministers also heard from Mr Chris Edwards, Manager, Government Relations and Advocacy, Vision Australia, and received suggestions for how best to support Guide Dog users through the NDIS.
