Blueprint Expert Reference Group (BERG) Meeting Communiqué Tuesday, 4 April 2023

The Blueprint Expert Reference Group (BERG) met virtually on Tuesday, 4 April 2023 to continue discussing the role and approach the BERG will take in the drafting of the Development of the Not-for-profit (NFP) Sector Development Blueprint (the Blueprint).

BERG welcomed new member, Jeff Smith, interim CEO of Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA), recognising the importance of facilitating active engagement across the disability sector to deliver a Blueprint that includes the perspective of this critical sector.

BERG endorsed key documents, including the Terms of Reference and Engagement Strategy that will underpin the consultation phase. These documents reflect BERG’s commitment to building advocacy and the importance of providing ongoing consultation with the not-for-profit sector in the development of this Blueprint.

BERG members agreed the approach and the division of responsibilities to progress development of the Issues Paper that will be the basis for broad consultation in coming months.

The Committee is committed to being inclusive and consulting in an accessible and culturally safe manner throughout this process.

The next BERG meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 2 May 2023.
